As a member of the world, at some stage you have benefited from the industrial revolution and eventually the governments will either tax carbon or you will find in added through the goods you purchase.  Your Carbon footprint sits at between 5 and 15 tonnes a year dependent on your circumstances, where you live, what you do etc.. Your bill will be about £350 a year but by the time we have the situation under control the carbon problem will be beyond repair.  We have about 10 years to make the difference, but the current plan of Net Zero will not get the resolution we require.  It will take about 20-30 years for their to be enough Carbon Capture and Storage facilities to be enough to make a difference but spending £500 billion now  is not possible at present and investment is cautious

The Idea and Plan

We need to raise enough money to be able to build 5,200 Carbon Capture and Storage Units to be put in locations all around the world, so we also need to purchase land and then operate them for a minimum of 100 years.  So £880 million was the cost of the Century carbon plant in 2008, but I do not envisage it now costing more than £500 million per unit, £2.6 trillion expenditure to start.  There needs to be research to then build facilities to power the CCS and convert the carbon into fuel making them self sufficient.  This requires investment in people, facilities and a backroom staff of scientists and environmentalists. This sounds worrying to contemplate the amount of money required.

Raising the Funds

With some basic mathematics we have removed the problem from an individual nation or business putting control back into the hands of the general public.  By making this a global problem and solution.

There are 7.8 billion people on the planet, of which 46% are categorised as poor and 25% are children, which leaves about 40% able to contribute, or to be precise 3.159 billion people.  To clarify this is not a tax or demand but a request of a donation of £1 a day that could solve the climate problem within 3 years.  With this level of support we now have just over £3 billion a day or just over £1.2 trillion a year and require your contribution for about 3 years.  So we have £3.6 trillion and £2.6 trillion capital expenditure, leaving £1 trillion for running costs, administration etc..plus we also have sales of carbon to the companies unable to offset these.

As a return for your donation you will receive carbon credits for life.  The figures and plan of action have been examined by climate researchers at several leading Universities with the acknowledgement that the plan was feasible but would be a challenge to implement.

The Next Step

Your money will immediately make a difference, as we can set up a construction program throughout the world, giving jobs. We can rethink the Net Zero campaign as it would be feasible that we could continue to use fossil fuels, saving jobs, and let the advancement of technology slow down.  Once up and running they will then start to extract the carbon from the atmosphere which should stop the PPM levels rising.  The raised funds can then be used to research further developments, work on projects to clean up the oceans, assisting biodiversity and ultimately save species including us.  We need to rectify all the mistakes we have made, giving us a platform for the future.

It is important to be accountable to someone, but as a nation neutral organisation we need to be directly accountable to you, our donors.  With this is mind we have decided to give reports to the United Nations and the World Bank.  They in turn will answer to their membership i.e. The countries of the world.  Our progress will also have reports on this website, making us transparent.
